Although most 14ers are free, please realize the work that goes into maintaing their trails. I highly encourage you to give to the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative through Bill Middlebrook's (the rad dude who runs this site) CFI page: https://www.coloradogives.org/14ersbillm2013

Thanks,

Slightly off subject (sorry) but was not there a standard route that a few years ago had you step 20 feet onto some private land and the land owner was giving people hell about it, like standing out there with a shotgun?

Did that route ever get resolved? Obviously it is a peak I have yet to attempt.

Anyhow, the funeral costs for your family could be expensive if he fired said shotgun.....there back on subject.

Maybe Wilson Peak via Silver Pick Basin. It's been resolved (but not cheaply).

Never climbed Longs??? You're missing out, bro. One of the best peaks in the state, with plenty of great routes. Avoid the cattle trail and you can avoid the crowds.
