Colorado Wall Map

Postby ffstepan » Wed Feb 01, 2012 7:52 pm

I'm looking for a large size wall map with all the 14er's and many of the 13er's on it. Has anybody found something like this? I recently moved back to Colorado and am going to start my 14'er tick list fresh. I already have a small one from REI that's about 24x30 and am looking for something larger.

Without any background on what state you live in...REI has a nice map of CO from the late 1800s you can purchase through this site and it will help out 14ers.com.

I have this map framed and hanging in my office. I look at it quite often. :)

Not sure what city you are in, but the Boulder Map Gallery has wall maps that you can check out in person (including the Raven map that Bill and tlerunner have).

I have a different 40"x50" laminated map from the store that hangs in my office at work. And I look at it every day. It shows all 14ers and some less-tall peaks, all National Forests and wilderness areas, ranges, major highways, etc. It's not on their website but it cost around $30, five or six years ago.

I'll third the Raven map. I used to have one on the wall of my office, and I wasted many hours staring at it.

I have the Colorado Fourteeners Illustrated Poster SJ shown in Kimo's link. Its not as accurate as the Raven Map but its more stylish.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I live in Boulder so I'll definitely check out boulder map galley as well as the Raven Map.

Ha! Me as well. It is a beautiful map to look at.

These used to be a tilted aerial view relief map of the Colorado ranges with the 14ers marked. Longs Peak was in the foreground. I could not find a snapshot in Google images.

I just use Bill's completed peaks map in 14ers.com. Red = completed, blue = waiting.
