We plan on visiting Switzerland next year and concentrating in Gimmelwald. Rick Steves has a good book on Switzerland that can be purchased at Amazon. Train routes---bus routes---hostels----restaurants-----hotels----gondola schedules. It's all there.

We hike every other year in Switzerland and it's my favorite place in the world. Last September we did the Murren-Gimmelwald Klettersteig (via ferrata) and I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves climbing and mountains.
