Summer Fun in British Columbia

Post by Gahugafuga »

My fiance has demanded that we honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies and I'm complying because her happiness is paramount to me. 8)

Has anybody out there had experience with British Columbia in the summer? I'm quite familiar with Banff and Jasper (and their summer crowds) so I thought it might be nice to go further afield toward Rogers Pass or the coastal ranges. Any tips on places to go, things to do, spots to car camp would be greatly appreciated!

May be a little further than you plan to go, but Vancouver Island is a great place. There's plenty of great places on the island, but we most recently spent a fair amount of time in Tofino, and if you're looking for some cool excursions, a friend of mine does this for a living at very reasonable rates (http://hymaxcharters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Wherever you decide to go in BC, it will be nice.
