Haha sweet Im leaving for the Baja peninsula on 1/18/09. Driving through Tijuana too.

Having just returned from our trip tonight I'll just say that we never felt threatened for a second. We were not near the border though of course. We were made so at home it was wonderful. We could tell we were back in the states by peoples attitudes more than the fact they spoke the same language. Sorry, I don't have the energy to read the article so I am just making a broader statement based on what seems to be the context.
