USAKeller:
Great, descriptive TR. TM would be proud. Les and I did Mauna Loa a few years back and that sea level to 13K+ thing can definitely be disorienting. Gald so you had such a successful trip.

Good to see you getting out there and doing what you enjoy most Caroline, Hawaii looks like a sick place, I all of a sudden dont feel too sorry for my brother who'll be in Honolulu for Ranger School next fall.

Love the TR, hard to take a bad pick over there looks like.

Way to go USAKeller!

Those are really nice shots. Too bad the camera battery failed. Mauna Kea is definetly in my future plans when I can raise the funds... Thanks!

A heart felt congratulations from all of us!

We traveled to the top of Mauna Kea back in 2001. It was my daughter's "Make a Wish" trip. She loved it. She was able to meet with some of the astromers up there. Great trip. We would do it again if we could afford it...

Thanks everyone! It was a nice day and solo-climbing is something I want to learn more about!

I do quite a bit of solo hiking....it's almost a totally different experience than going with others. Congrats!!

I hope to do Moana Kea someday. Hawaii is awesome, isn't it? I wouldn't want to live there though.

Congratulations on your 1st solo! It is great that you are back out there doing what you enjoy. Hawaii is one of the highpts we have left - I am excited to do it! The sunset shot is beautiful. Denali should be a pretty similar experience, right?

Congratulations, Caroline. I think David would be so proud of you, grinning from ear to ear, just waiting to give you a big hug. Take care of yourself.
Thank you all for loving my brother and being his friends. You all sound like amazing friends. I can't thank you enough. Holly Newsome
