Re: Death Valley and Joshua Tree suggestions

Thanks for the rest of the replys. I just got back so didn't see them all, but still good suggestions for the next trip out there.

Zabriskie Point was closed for some work they were doing, but we did do the Golden/Gower loop which was fun. We then camped at a cold Wildrose campground (nice that it is free). Next morning drove up to Thorndike CG and hiked Telescope from there. Not much snow around, we did use crampons for the final 800'. Amazing views and weather.

In Joshua Tree, we camped at Jumbo Rocks as Hidden Valley and Ryan were full. Still a nice campground and it wasn't too cold out. We hiked Inspiration BM out the Keys View road, then did Quail Mtn and Hidden Valley. Made for a full day, but with the nice weather, we didn't mind.

Thanks again for all the suggestions!
