Notch Peak, UT

Post by Teeboy »

Just curious if someone could give an average hiking time for Notch Peak, in Utah. I'd love to take a day, while I'm out there driving from Baker, NV to the Wasatch . Just want to make sure I can fit it into my schedule. Thanks in advance!

I assume you mean Notch Peak in the House Range? If so it depends on which route you plan to take. The easiest/shortest route is via Sawtooth Canyon and is 7+ miles and 2500-3000 feet of elevation gain, so 1/2-3/4 of a day. All others require Class 5 climbing and/or rough, rough 4WD roads to access them. Bring plenty of water, it's hot and dry out there.
