New Mexico Sangres Closed

If anyone has any plans for Wheeler Peak or any other New Mexico Sangres, you will have to cancel them.
Effective at 6:00 a.m., June 30, 2011, the Carson National Forest will enter into Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

Stage 3 fire restrictions mean that the forest is off limits to all activities, including hiking, biking, and horseback riding:
