Re: Let's see your artwork!
Here's a piece I finished recently. It is really just more of an exercise. I had some fabric that just seemed to mimic certain elements of water life perfectly, so I just started creating an underwater scene that included many different kinds of fish. Was kind of a fun diversion, but I'm now focused once again on the mountains. I have several different peaks in mind.

Lovely, Aaron! I've been waiting to see your finished product since you introduced it last fall! Was worth the wait!
I just finished this one last month. Longs Peak continues to be an inspiration for me.

I love the Maroon Bells painting!
Here are a few paintings I finished since the last time I posted. The first 2 were commissioned and the 3rd one was for myself.

glaciergirl, cool matterhorn ridge one. Was just there last weekend.
Spong, love the tent at night painting. It definitely feels like the stars are that bright out there

Excellent, glaciergirl! Thanks for including them now! All three are really nice, but I especially love the Rainier scene. I've only been out there once and just did a day hike of a portion of the Wonderland Trail. Only saw the mountain for about 10-15 minutes all day because of the clouds -- typical of that area. But what a great mountain!

Beautiful!Project Ralphie wrote:I took a photo at sunrise while getting ready to hike Mt. Elbert about 4 or 5 years ago. I believe, though I'm not sure, that this is Mt. Cosgriff. The photo was very vivid, and I always thought it would make a good painting. I used to draw a lot, but never really painted, but this Christmas, when my wife bought me paints and brushes, I decided to give it a shot. This is acrylic on canvas. 24 in. x 48 in. The working title is "Mount Cosgriff . . . Or Some Other Nice Mountain Near Elbert."
