Props to Aubrey (and you too Susan for that matter) for merging his love of climbing/outdoors into his career. Aubreys TRs on this site are classic combos of great writing, photography, and valuable beta. He seemed like the nicest guy I never met. :)
when you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Yup, he and Jen sure had some great adventures here in Colorado! I did meet them once, in fact they treated me and DHatfield to dinner at Phantom Canyon one evening (which was not cheap, from what I recall, as there was a LOT of beer involved). A certain 14ers.com bartender was also there that evening, and somehow we ended up with a plateful of free brownies. I don't remember much else about that night, for some reason...

There are a lot of great writers on this site, of trip reports and guide books, too. I think mountaineers and writers share a lot of the same qualities: self-motivation, dedication, focus, and a high capacity for isolation - and suffering :-D

Thanks for the notice, Susan! And kudos to you both!

It's still nice to see some of his personal TR's on occasion here even though they're not CO ones. Yeah, what a life! To get paid to climb and have fun! :-D
