thx.... got some recent info that devil's head might be inaccessible, anyone have a clue on that? we'll likely be rocking an '08 4Runner V8... so crappy roads aren't really a problem.

No updates (that I have seen) for about a week. I would definitely have a back-up plan in place. Even if the road melts out enough, which is a possibility, the entire hiking trail is shaded in the trees and is north facing so snow/ice will most likely be a factor there as well. You can keep an eye on the Facebook page of Rampart Range ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rampart-Range-Motorized-Management-Committee-RRMMC/106387359436612?fref=ts ) and see if anyone updates the status of the road.
Devil's Head is a cool little hike with a neat ending, but may March/April may be a bit too soon for access after all. Decent forecast for the week, but there is a chance of rain/snow for this weekend.

Just wanted to let you know, Rampart Range Road is currently gated, and usually remains closed until well into April. They close it at hwy 67 which leaves you many miles from the Devil's Head trailhead. A great hike when it is accessible, though.

That was a great game. Made my Friday night. Go USA!

Since you were there you probably didn't hear the head official decided the game should be called, somewhere around the 60th minute. When the ref tried to end the game the players convinced him conditions were fine and to play on. By the time the ref agreed, the lead official had already left the field thinking his opinion was all that mattered. The announcers made fun of him the rest of the match. Unique and funny stuff...
