Looks like the drought conditions are significantly improved across the mountains in the north and central parts of the state.

It feels more like August this week: southwest warm rains and thunderstorms.

About 2.5" of wet heavy snow on the ground in BV at 9:30a. A bit of a surprise as I was expecting rain.

Looks like plenty of new snow coming to the Sangres, too.

And a bit of a re-fresh in the San Juans

I'm getting reports of 6-8 inches of snow in Woodland Park and that at least one direction of HWY 24 is closed up Ute Pass due to rock slides and snowpack. Is this mid-May?

If the weather forecasts are right, this snow is going to melt very quickly. The forecasts is predicting very warm and dry weather. In a few days, it's supposed to be near 90 in some of the warmer parts of Colorado (80's for Denver). Even at places like Berthoud Pass, not far from timberline, it's supposed to be pushing 60.
I'm slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.
