It sucks for snow the past two years, but in 5 of the 7 years I've been in CO, it's been pretty damn good, especially in the bowls at Breck, Copper and ABasin/Loveland.

It is just amazing though, that there is clearly a "donut" this year. I too noticed the snow stopped exactly at the Frisco Main St exit and then picked up again at Loveland ](*,)

I was disappointed to see the Presidents Day period snow did not make it so far east. Evans and Meeker were pretty gray seen from Denver this week. That may change by tomorrow with the upslope storm.

Looks like the plains are going to get it good, the front range mountains not so much.

Looks like Summit county is finally going to do pretty well this weekend - look at the forecast on opensnow. 1.5 - 3 feet predicted to fall at Breck between now and Sunday night. Hopefully this is the storm that finally puts us in a better position than last year in relation to snowpack. Not that that is saying a whole lot, but baby steps!
You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know. - Rene Daumal
