On Monday of last week we ran into a group of young adults from the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps who were doing a tremendous job of trail maintenance and trail development on Mt. Holy Cross. We visited with them for quite a while and were very impressed with their hard work and dedication. They sure make life easier for those of us hiking/climbing Fourteeners. Everyone in our group pledged to make at least a $100 donation to the RMYC which I assume is related to the CFI.

They were Youth Corps working on a CFI project. CFI uses various volunteer groups to staff trail projects. While working on the project, CFI funds food, camps, supplies, etc.

#1401! I noticed that another great Colorado conservation charity, The Rocky Mountain Field Institute, is low on votes... Dare I ask you great, nice & generous people to use your extra votes for them?

I just used my second vote for Rocky Mountain Field Institute, but it was only their 8th vote. RMFI recently spent ten years restoring the trails in South Colony Lakes, up Humboldt and Broken Hand Pass, so we definitely benefit from their efforts.

I already voted the other day (with the first email sent out) but I shared/posted on my wall in the hopes that I can "convince" a few others to add a vote or two.

Edit: Never mind. Instead of clicking on the Facebook link in Bill's OP, I went to and was able to vote without going through Facebook or allowing "the app."

Thanks for that information, I voted too!
