Davenport did most of them in the spring; I count 17 in calendar winter on his route list, ten the first winter and seven the second.

Hamish Gowans attempted to climb all the 14ers in the winter of 2004-2005, but got "only" 27. It's possible that's the most in one winter.

Does any one know the current record for most winter 14er ascents in a single season?
Also, Aaron Ralston holds the winter speed record at 7 years, correct?

Thanks!

Matt

Steve Gladbach mentions in his Evans TR that he (Steve) did them in six years, but he then goes on to say that Ralston completed 59 winter summits (53 ranked + 5 unranked + North Massive).

I believe Steve, Bock and Mereness climbed the 58.
