Just remember to wear your Uggs with them.
Mountains cast spells on me - Why, because of the way Earth-heaps lie, should I be Chocked by joy mysteriously; stilled or drunken-gay? Why should a brown hill trail Tug at my feet to go? Why should a boggy swale Tune my heart to a nameless tale Mountain marshes know?

Two more

1. Dogs not on a leash

2. People who complain when I smoke a cig on the summit, (I have no empathy, part of being a narcissist.)

Owl- :-({|=

EDIT: people with over 1500 posts on 14ers.com who claim to not be narcissistic

That's funny.

At the risk of offending some of this site's road biking contingent, I will say that my girlfriend simply refers to road bikers as "road clowns", thanks to their ridiculous and colorful spandex clothing choices :)

And, for those who are offended by that statement, just wait until you run into me in the mountains on a cold morning, sporting my least fashionable long underwear under shorts wardrobe!

I am partial to the term "Grape Smugglers" personally.

I scored a 17! Who's surprised? Then again, I *am* a member of Mensa!

Jim Davies wrote:Yeesh, I got a 5. I wonder how low scores on this correlates with solo hiking.

There may be both a positive and a negative correlation for those scoring on the high end of the spectrum. Some narcissists prefer to position themselves as the center of attention and hike with an "audience," while others - like me - prefer to hike alone because they know that no one else is good enough to hike with them.

As for the grievances, I have none. I've come to terms with the fact that I'm better than everyone else, and realized that complaining about the inherent deficiencies and self-imposed shortcomings of others is an exercise in futility. Besides, the laws of Darwinism will take care of them in time! Knowing this has provided me with a deep sense of peace and satisfaction, and freed my mind to ponder more important matters, like how I'm going to rule the world.

Online news stories that:
1. Have a separate paragraph for each sentence.
2. Make you watch a video advertisement before you can see the story.

People who use non-words like:
1. "Onload" and "offload," for "load" and "unload."
2. "Pro-active." The word is "active."
3. "Pre-plan." The word is "plan," unless, I guess, you are planning how you are going to plan.

People who sign up for this website and don't indicate where they live or what peaks they've climbed.

People who respond to climbing connection requests indicating someone wants a climbing partner by saying "I might be up there too; maybe I'll see you."

Online tough guys. They don't show up here, but on a lot of sites they will say things they'd never say to anyone's face.

Pure delta bravo.

silverlynx wrote:Related to the topic of news stories that make you watch an ad before the video you want, I hate Vevo. Vevo has got to be my number one grievance of the year. Long gone are the days when we were not force-fed advertisements by YouTube. You cannot watch a TV program, a movie or a video without being told what to buy.
