I'll apologize in advance - kinda have to have heard Coltrane's "Giant Steps" to follow the improv Joe Pass is playing.

But for aficionados of the genre, I personally think this is one of the finer solo guitar versions of the tune.

I also enjoyed this short, interesting Chick Corea rendition. The signal to noise ratio for this recording is low, so bear with the hiss.
It gets better as you listen (or maybe it doesn't, but seems to as you get into the music.) God, he's such a monster player! [-o<

This was a huge hit way before you were born. It will likely bore you. Unless you are old (and used to be hip;) Then you will dig it. It is my obsessive compulsive nature that compels me to post this tune. Please forgive me in advance. I'm sure it's the rain this afternoon....

And without burning another useless spot on the thread, I'll just post this one here. The old folks will like it. How about that chick you dug in the 8th grade, right? Wasn't she listening to this tune on the transistor radio?

The first time I heard this song was on a boat on Horsetooth Reservoir, enjoying the summer sun.
