Kenny, please save us today from such bad american white bread musac...

Really, Tommy, he looks much too clean for such hallucinogenic nostalgia.

I suppose next it will be the Boxtops and "The Letter" ???

Ah, yes, The Day. The Desert. Too-Stoned, Arizona. I was in love with Shannon Swanbeck. Walking home from school listening to the transistor radio. And what is this thing called Love?

Oh, Tommy.

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy ....

Tommy!

And on to lighter, more modern, international rhythmic discourse....

Here's a new track from Big Black Delta. A new band that I cannot stop listening to for the past few weeks. This album will definitely provide some of the great songs of the 2013 summer for me. Their first LP just dropped 2 weeks ago although a few singles have been floating around over the past year.

The simple lyric on this track seemed fitting for today: "I want to love you this summer. Not in the winter time."
“It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.”

LMAO!!! That was hilarious, Anna!
I feel just like this guy when I'm at the one in Boulder. Why do people always have to crowd the hot food bar, cock-blocking me from the tandoori chicken?!
Genius music video!

I'll never be your beast of burden
My back is broad but it's a hurting
All I want is for you to make love to me
I'll never be your beast of burden
I've walked for miles my feet are hurting
All I want is you to make love to me

Am I hard enough
Am I rough enough
Am I rich enough
I'm not too blind to see

I'll never be your beast of burden
So let's go home and draw the curtains
Music on the radio
Come on baby make sweet love to me

Am I hard enough
Am I rough enough
Am I rich enough
I'm not too blind to see

Oh little sister
Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, girl
You're a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty girl
Pretty, pretty
Such a pretty, pretty, pretty girl
Come on baby please, please, please

I'll tell ya
You can put me out
On the street
Put me out
With no shoes on my feet
But, put me out, put me out
Put me out of misery

Yeah, all your sickness
I can suck it up
Throw it all at me
I can shrug it off
There's one thing baby
That I don't understand
You keep on telling me
I ain't your kind of man

Ain't I rough enough, ooh baby
Ain't I tough enough
Ain't I rich enough, in love enough
Ooh! Ooh! Please

I'll never be your beast of burden
I'll never be your beast of burden
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be

I'll never be your beast of burden
I've walked for miles, my feet are hurting
All I want is you to make love to me,
Yeah

I don't need no beast of burden
I need no fussing
I need no nursing
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be

Frank Black rules! I remember being shocked at what that dude looks like. The man never matched the voice to me. Regardless, the Pixies were my Nirvana.
