Over 20 Photos in a Trip Report

Postby JB99 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 2:41 pm

Can someone tell me how to upload more than 20 photos to a trip report? Sorry, I know this isn't exactly "general mountaineering discussion."

You can host them on a different site, like Image Shack, then just display them in your trip report. Once you upload the photo Image Shack will display a few different codes for the picture. It took me a few trys to figure out the correct code to copy and past between the tags (i'm not great with this stuff) but once you get it it's really easy. I choose "display on 15 inch monitor" when uploading the photos to Image Shack so they display a little larger.

I use Photobucket to host my images - they provide a direct link to the image that you can copy and paste into your trip report. It's free, and there doesn't appear to be any downside to using the service.

Picassa by Google works for me.
I do have to mess around with the embed link they give me, but it's easy to figure out by trial and error. I copy the embed link http and put it in the Img tabs:

Of course, if you ever take the photo off any linked site it will not show up here.
