14er Peak List:
(58)
Last Reported Location:
Not Reported
Max Skill Level:
Low Class 5
Climbing Preference:
Up is usually less scary than down...
Class 3 ridgeline scrambles are a blast
Accomplishments:
Having lots of fun and meeting some amazing people while doing the 14ers. Those rank first.
Finishing the Colorado 14ers, AZ county high points, and four Sacred Peaks of the Navajo.
The rest aren't spectacular, but mean something to me--a handful of western and midwest state highpoints, El Diente-Wilson traverse, 12 ultras so far.
Goals:
To never lose my love for the mountains.
Yearly: 50+ summits; 100,000 ft vertical gain or total prominence sum; at least three ranked peaks in each four corners state; one state HP; 1-2 ultra prominence peaks; re-experience my favorite 14ers; To take advantage of the diversity surrounding me and climb peaks all year in varied conditions.
At least one more "great" 14er traverse.
Whitney, Kilimanjaro & Aconcagua are perennial targets...
My Gear List:
I'm a minimalist.
Calendar of Climbs:
Drop me a line if you've got ideas for something in the San Juans or four corners area. My hope is to hike Colorado county HPs & centennials in September, then segue into AZ/NM/UT as the snow begins to fall.
I'm usually chasing county highpoints and prominence peaks, but a day on any mountain is usually a good day.
