 Little Alaska

Since there is only one working link to a Treasure Mountain TR, and not much info on these other peaks, I thought it would be worth adding to the 14ers.com database, so to speak. Summertime climbers should consider tackling Treasure from Paradise Divide N of Crested Butte to Yule Pass and up the South slopes. Connecting Treasure and Treasury via the connecting ridge looks good on a map, but a large cliff makes that a difficult proposition. Purple Mountain and the peaks of Little Alaska can also be reached via Yule Pass, or the South slopes as we did here. Trust me- these peaks are worth the drive to Crested Butte. See my full TR HERE.

Adding More Peaks

For the life of me, I could not get this TR to add multiple Peaks. It should also include Purple Mtn 12958', The Blob 12781', and The Nipple 12789'

Always cool to see people getting on the more obscure but awesome lines away from the 14ers. Thanks for sharing.

Nice trip report

Those are three of my favorite peaks in the West Elks.

You are correct that the traverse from Treasure to Treasury is tricky and required some side hill traversing and Class 3+ scrambling on questionable rock when I did it last summer. The climb from above Yule Lakes out of Marble is much easier...
