Dreamy Views of the New Zealand Alps at Mueller Hut

The Mueller Hut Track is a short and steep 5.2km, 1040m climb to a magnificient perch overlooking the heavily glaciated Mt Sefton, and NZ's tallest mountain, Mt Cook. The hut sleeps 30, and tickets are picked up first come first served at the Mt Cook Nat Park Visitor's Center each morning.

Awesome pictures and a cool hike. Makes me wonder what I missed on the Routeburn Track since the clouds never cleared up.

Stellar shots...I can't believe how BIG that hut is now. We climbed up to & camped in the Mueller hut in 1982 and it was SMALL...slept maybe 5 or 6. My favorite park on the South Island.
