 A Different Buffalo

I met Nate just below the trailhead and we car camped. Rising a 4am we headed to the actual trailhead and got the bikes and trailers ready for the 4 mile ride to the summer trailhead and the wilderness boundary. We made great time up to the 1st of several boot packs. The undulating nature of our ascent left us changing over from skinning to booting 4 times. Finally above treeline we opted to for a grassy boot to the top. On the way up we had really nice sun and warmth until we hit treeline.... more words and pics at makingturns.com
