 Mt. Princeton

We picked a perfect day to hike up Princeton. Sunny and fairly warm. No snow, all the way to the summit. We drove up the road past the radio towers, past the campground, and then parked at the next pulloff. We parked alone, but there was room for two more cars. We started hiking up the road from our car at approx 08:30. (BTW - You need a car or truck with high clearance on this road. The worst part is before the radio towers. We had a Kia Sportage.) We passed another pulloff where we could have parked and we found out that a parking space was available when we reached the trailhead. The trail is easy to follow, lots of cairns. After reaching the ridge, my buddy continued up that way. I took the short, steep, direct route but it involves lots of scrambling and you have to be careful so that you don't dislodge rocks. We reached the summit (photo) around 11:30, only seeing about four or five other people. Without snow, it's a nice easy hike. It took about two and 1/2 hours to get back down to the car from the summit.
