 "Golden Bear" fun solo

I've been trying to knock off all the lines you can see from Loveland Pass for a while. Now I only have Pettingell to go. I wanted to get a peak in before the storm closes out the alpine so being in such poor shape I figured a nice short day with less than 3000 vert would fit my needs. It's been very warm lately and I was feeling it on the way up, I had to stop twice to apply glop stopper and that didn't even work till I got above the trees. I ended up booting about 800 vert on Trelease. The squirrels and animals will never forget the cursing that they heard. One nice benefit of going solo I guess .... to see you're back at it Fritz. Looks like there's a lot of snow up there and more on the way, it's getting to be that time of year! Let's make sure to get out together this season...

so I was driving up to a-basin on mon about 930ish and saw a guy with his skis strapped to his pack ready to get at it right by the turnoff to hit bethel. I was bummed that I didn't have my split board with me and that I wasn't going where that dude was going. I think I found out where that guy went. nice

Yeah started at 9:20. That was Trelease though. Bethel is the one with the gates on the ridge and the big chute that empties onto I70. But yeah I guess that's a trailhead for Bethel. Always take your gear with you

Give me a call Ben. I have a lot planned for this winter and look forward to doing some of it with you
