The trail was pounded by blowing snow and 20 degree temperatures from 10:30AM until 2:30PM. Our group lost the trial due to snow drifts. At one point, even on the trail, we encountered waist-deep snow. We did not summit, but reached about 13,000.

Climbing with snow shoes probably would have worked. The road to the trailhead was wet snow and mud, but passable. The road to the summer trail head was open
