 Cathedral

Really more of a photo journey up Cathedral via the Cathedral Lake TH. There are not many late summer reports, so I decided to add a link to my photo site. The crux gully is the real deal this time of year. It is very steep and very loose. I found it impossible not to kick down a few rocks, especially on the way down. Hope the photos help anyone thinking about heading up for the fall color. I really enjoyed this hike, beautiful mountain!

Can't imagine...     2010-09-17 22:40:08
That was rotten enough in June and the gully was still half full of snow. No way I'd want to climb it now. Great photos!
