Glad you make it to the summit, it looks like a great climb.

FYI - The mushrooms you mention that ”got too much sun” are called Hawk's Wings and are quite edible, although the ones in the photo are definitely past their prime...

There is WAY more beetle kill now than what I saw in your photos. Very sad. The forests are gone
