 Amazing views!

Sunday had fantastic weather. I hit the trailhead at 5:50 in the morning. Good clearance is a must on this road. I would be hesitant to take a Subaru sedan/wagon on it. Most any truck or SUV should be fine. It was a bit chilly at 36 degrees. I did not get direct sunlight till just after 8:00 am. I was almost at the saddle by then. I gained to the summit at about 8:45. The views from the top of this peak are fantastic and the trail in is easy to follow. Great hike on a beautiful day.

Huron does have some great views from the summit, it is also a very scenic hike getting there too! What did you think of that tiny summit? We didn't stay on the top long....the six of us in our group plus a couple of other folks made it kind of crowded.

I was at the top for almost 3 hours because I was meeting someone up there that had a late start. It was a blast to sit back and talk to the other people that had made it up that day. The views were just amazing.

We took our Subaru Forrester 2004 up to the top the day before you hiked and we made it just fine without bottoming out. It is definitely doable if you take if slow. Go for it!
