 Snowmass Mountain - Getting our Heads Out of the Clouds   

On July 26th we hiked into Snowmass Lake. We summited Snowmass Mountain on July 27th.

It was one of the most beautiful 14ers we have done to date.

The evening we arrived at the lake it rained and thundered very loudly... the place echoed like an amphitheater. It rained most of the night and we worried that we would not be able to attempt the summit. We postponed our 6:00am start time to 7:00am... and started the climb in fog and light rain. By the time we reached the other side of the lake the rain had stopped. We climbed up into the clouds hoping for the best.... the outcome of our days is documented in the pictures below...
