Skiing in July: Clinton Peak & the Lewinsky Slot

There are always turns to be had out there!

An 8 hour day featuring 4 summits, 2 ski descents, and way less people than were on the DeCaLiBron.

Full trip report here.

Nice job keeping it up in July.

Stan Wagon skied it in 2007...     2010-07-13 00:05:54
Are you really sure no one else skied it before then?

lordhelmut- totally appropriate, I love it!

names, etc     2010-07-13 07:56:29
Yes, the name is Monica‘s Descent (short for Monica‘s Descent on Clinton). I‘ll refrain from posting here the sexual preferences of our former president that make this name far superior to Lewinsky Slot.

Yes, I named it. One of my best, if I do say so myself.

Yes, someone skied it before 2007. I skied and named it in 2001. Pics, etc, at stanwagon.com. As to who was first, I cannot say. Unlike some remote and/or obscure lines in other ranges, this one is pretty prominent, even from the highway.

And driving over H. Pass on the weekend I did peek in and notice that the line was still in, so nice to see someone skiing it.
