glad that wasn‘t an issue when we did it earlier last month, I‘ve read Potosi is just a crumbling choss pile and quite unfriendly at times. Nice job making it a combo with ”coffeepot”, that looks like a cool bonus, love that view of N.Couloir from there. Sweet first trad lead Sarah!

Had you guys put any thought into approaching from Weehawken by any chance? That drainage intrigues me.

Yeah, we did consider approaching via Weehawken. Supposedly there is a trail to near treeline, but we felt it would take much longer. It sure looks like a beautiful area to explore though. BTW, nice page of the couloir over on SP! Hopefully the rockfall danger is much less on colder days.

I love that peak ... need to get up there and do it again. By the way, Kevin, saw your name on the Unnamed 13,028 summit register this past weekend. Nice to see a familiar name on a low 13er. Thanks for posting. Happy trails!

Wow, a lot less snow than when we were there 2 weeks ago, the side-hilling was 95% snow for us. At least you guys still had good snow in the Couloir, that was a fun one!

Congrats Sarah on your first trad lead!

I agree, much longer approach. When I feel like making an adventure into the unknown of Yankee Boy, I‘ll give that a shot. Dave Cooper did a rather extensive write up on this in the trail mix section of the Post a ways back.

Thanks re: SP page, I‘m just beginning to acquiant myself with that site in terms of descriptions. Overwhelmingly extensive information on the mountains of the world.
