 Mountain Biked to Mt. Evans

We started around 9.30 in the morning from Echo Lake and made the top after 3 hours of riding. I am not an avid biker but I found it easy to ride, the altitude did not bother me at all. We were probably going 5 miles/hour as an average. The road is totally free of snow and traffic was not too bad taken into account it was Memorial Day. The trip back took about 1 hour counting stops, it was fun!
We had fun watching some skiers going from the top down to Summit Lake.

Agreed, altitude bothers me less when I bike up there (or skin up) than when I hike it. I thought it was because I settle into a better rythm on my bike or BC setup. That‘s a pretty sweet ride time if you started at Idaho Springs ?

Oops, I guess I forgot to mention we started from Echo Lake, I edited the post. We just had a slow pace :-)
