Amen to that (thanks to wives like us). What a great trip report showing photos from a different perspective on a mountain that is very popular. Really nice post, great commentary (appreciate the 10 Elements), and beautiful photos. Happy trails!

You forgot the most important element in all of life. Other than that, I‘d have to agree with just about every single other one of your points. 2 other things I‘d add to element 7 is solitude and element 10 w/ a good buddy.

Way to ski that mountain like a crazy Huron tribesman.

... other elements that occurred to us were the awesome companionship and the fact that we had the mountain to ourselves. To add to #7 - now I understand why Doumall rated this as one of his favorites. This day was truly a reward for the faithful.

Ben thanks for sharing another excellent day in the mountains, and nice TR! And please thank Anna-Lisa for the banana bread.

That‘s a line I‘ll probably ski again some day, hopefully close to perfection as well.

Love that line, one of my top 5 favorite days. Nice report Ben, way to get it this year. I too enjoy the Bananna Bread special.

Looks steeper than that to me.
Is there anything the Kamper/Conners team can‘t do?

Harp Lager, indeed a fitting end to a fine day.

Nice job, you guys!

A commendable effort and angle to the story go a long ways to making this an outstanding TR. Is that a new label for Harp? Either way it is an excellent choice. Huron‘s east face is a classic line without a doubt, one of my favorites too.

As for the perfect ski descent I would have one main ingredient: having the perfect partners. For me that makes all the difference in the world. When you see eye to eye on most decisions, climb at a similar pace, and ski at a similar level it makes all the other ingredients almost optional.

Glad the gamble at the creek paid off. Hope you‘re wrong about your next trip getting rocked... but you‘re probably not. O well, a few 14er ski descents on dirty snow is ok with me. We have gotten lucky with conditions recently.

Would a mtn bike be appropriate for the 4wd road? I was up there yesterday and didn't want to drive across the deep water.

If you can get the bike across the creek and back then yes, it would certainly help you out a lot. The road isn't very rough or steep at any point once past the creek.

Thanks for the beta. I'll definitely consider taking a bike. I got a nice view of the east face from Belford on Sunday.
