It was nice chatting with you and your partner at the TH on Saturday afternoon. Evans from Guanella is the definition of a slog and Scott Gomer Gulch could very well be the a--hole of the Evans massif. Crossing those willows with snow cover involves a lot of luck and a little bit of voodoo, in my opinion. Glad you had a safe ascent. I think you did it right by hitting Evans before the crowds take over with their colognes and cellulars.

On a side note, the peak on the left in photo #2 is Spalding and not Evans.

It was good talking to you too. I almost asked you if you had any more soda in your trunk I could buy, we were so thirsty, but I thought that might be a bit odd. Thanks for the info on the photo - I will have to update it so it is correct.
