Beautiful Day     02/25/2010 19:53
I was there that day also. Enjoyed your TR & pictures. I watched you guys head to Ellingwood and I headed to Blanca. We passed each other on the traverse. Sorry to hear you have to do that road one more time. I went back in August for LB. That area and peaks are some of my favorites so far. Good luck with LB.

Blanca and Ellingwood have been on my radar for a while. Your TR makes me anxious for summer.

1 Partner for Little Bear     02/18/2010 14:46
2 times I have been in that basin with no summits. If you are up for it, we have to tackle Little Bear this summer, and hopefully the full traverse.

I was turned around once due to my partners not wanting to carry snowshoes from the bottom in late may and one due to lack of partner experience on the NW face of LB (Although we got a bit off route due to a start in the dark. Everything looks like a giant black hand at 4 in the morning.

LB     02/18/2010 18:13
Micah, I‘m tentatively planning on doing LB in September this year. I‘m not interested in the traverse though

It was a nice day, but I only summited Blanca. Everything was perfect except mosquitoes in the woods!

I remember - you passed us during the traverse over. You made great time up Blanca

Smell the roses     02/26/2010 21:39
Wifey had dinner plans for me back in Denver so I wasn‘t doing a lot of sightseeing that day. I think I parked just below you guys, slept by my truck, and made it a daytrip. We packed in for LB. Nice place to spend a little time. As I get closer to finishing, I‘m trying to slow down and enjoy more instead of checking off the peak list.
