”I always remember baklava when I put my balaclava on... Note to self: Bring baklava on next winter hike.”

Nice recap buddy, fun day.

”When atop an ugly heap like Sherman you look elsewhere for beauty.”

I called it a baklava for years - YEARS - after moving to Colorado and no one corrected me and then my girl, on likely or second or third date, snowshoeing through the woods said, ”Dude - it‘s a balaclava.”

A year later I still take my baklava on winter hikes and she still corrects me.

Nicely done tr.

There were much bigger slabs breaking at the basin though!

I have friends that still call the mask Baklava. I don‘t correct them any more (it‘s hopeless) but instead start drooling about Baklava, Saag Paneer, Chix Masalla, and other incredible edibles Nice report and pics, looks like a fun way to do Dyer!

Slabs...

Hig, I thought those loud noises at the basin were from your thighs slapping together . Steph Baldy was way more intense. A guide for Sherman would be a great idea too though . Keith, let me know your plans and we‘ll see if we can work something out. Thanks for the comments all.

Where have you been boy?! I'm glad to see our climb up Ol' Baldy's western slope has finally paid off and you were able to tackle these bad boys!!! As you can see, I still don't have Sherman checked off yet, but with more rigorous training and a hired guide, I may be able to pull it off this year.

Seriously, nice job to both of you!
PS. If you Google "how to ski"....

Good stuff, Prakash and Joe. Nice to see TR‘s with avy beta from sources I know I can rely on. Good work getting two peaks too, thanks for posting!
