 Education from Harvard

This past Sunday was a great day for Harvard! Beautiful weather and very kind fellow hikers. Not much wind at all, and so warm that my co-hiker Keegan and I were able to trek along without shirts for a ways!

This hike was my fourth 14er, and it was definitely a pleasant hike. We summitted in 4 hours and 15 minutes, and the whole way was a nice scenic route! Large green trees in the beginning, the small stream (not sure of a name) most of the way up, and clear views of the surrounding mountains during the last half of the hike. I also liked that we could see Mt. Harvard from early on in the trail:

That little bump on the far left side of the mountain (above pic) turns into large rocks:

And it's always nice to get reception at the top, to tell your friends how cool it is from the top of a 14er! Keegan on the phone:

And, being karate guys, we had to celebrate the summit the best ways we knew how:

I'd easily jump aboard another trip to Harvard during the summer with other friends if they decided to go. It was a blast!

Round Trip Time     2011-02-04 17:22:16
Was curious as what the total time was from start until you were back at the trail head. We plan to do Harvard in about 2 weeks.
