Great day on Lindsey, weather was better than predicted by the forcasters. The night was dry and the moon was out early at the camp near Lily Lake Trailhead parking lot. I drove a CRV, so the road is in good shape.
The walk up to the saddle was a good push, from there it certainly gets steeper. I climbed just right of the gulley on the rock. It was a good scramble, a couple times I back tracked to get a better route up ahead. On the way down I followed a pair of hikers into the gulley, it was nice to have some company for the upper portion. We took our time, only the upper 50‘ or so was troublesome.
A tough climb for hikers like myself, but the scenery is well worth it. Best 5 hours of July so far, looking forward to the next climb.
