 Shavano in pesky pelting snow

May 14ers was too inticing to pass up. This is my third year of climbing and I owe a great debt to those who have contributed to this site and guided and informed me to 5 summits. There is no better resource than 14ers.com.

The party of three climbed on Saturday. As we had approached the Angel's foot the sky was beautiful blue.

The 1st party stopped at 12,200'. Maybe she's pregnant, I think so though they deny it. Time will tell. Party two, the party to the 1st party, stopped at 13,100 with two broken telescoping poles, damn! I by agreement continued to the summit. The clouds gathered as we climbed. Near the summit the pesky pelting snow began

and continued until we were back below treeline.

The glissade down was very awesome, my first time to try it. I think I averaged about 6-7 miles an hour sliding down. I know it took exactly 3 minutes from the top of the Angels arm to her foot (that's how long the video is).

Hey,

Glad to see that you didn‘t get struck by lightning up there on the summit. Elizabeth and I heard plenty of thunder on our hike out through the trees.-Chris
