Job well done to all, and another great TR Ben! Wish I could have joined! Weren‘t you worried about wet slides with all of the recent rain?

Thanks Caroline!     2009-05-27 16:45:59
Not really that worried, it was pretty cold up there the night before and nothing on Massive is very steep, plus we had the overcast helping us out too .

and thanks for the pix of Elbert - especially the one taken from Massive. Think the west side of Elbert is still skiable from the top?

Hmmm...not sure, the west side of Massive held a lot less snow than the east did, if I were to bank on a ski route it would be the Box Creek Cirque based on the photo above...lemme know what you find out if you end up going for it!

Great pictures. I‘ve only snowboarded and never took up ski‘ing but this might change my mind.

Thanks for the pics and the idea. I‘m thinking about going up and trying this week. do you think the snow will still be sweet enough to roll down, or is it becoming pretty rocky and poch marked? What time is the best time to ski it? 2 or so? What do you estimate the pitch is? I‘m a boarder (usually ride with skiers) and would love to get a last run in this season and work for it
