Jordan, this is by far your best Trip Report, and fittingly so. Congrats on an amazing accomplishment, at least to those of us that cannot conceive of the commitment that you've made. And it's just awesome that your mom was there at the end, a week before Mother's Day, no less.

Time to get a GF     2009-05-05 10:04:09

Man, anyone who goes through this project has more than the mountains to deal with. Personal lives suffer for sure, friends get sore, family feels second best. It will be so nice to mend those fences. I am guessing you agree.

Congrats Bud, lets dial it back and turn it up at the same time.

What an awesome accomplishment!
Thanks for another great TR - it‘s been most excellent to read about your progress this winter/spring - can‘t think of any better way to pass time rehabing a broken leg! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through the pics and TR‘s...
Way to go, I‘ll raise a glass to you!
Cheers!

nice work Jordan     2009-05-06 13:59:22
If the last guy on your thank you list is me from Wetterhorn, I admire your memory (Brian Miller). While I‘ve come a long way since that day with my rear entry boots and homeless guy looking ski pack, it looks like you‘ve definately set the bar in terms of ski mountaineering. Carl(Wesley) and I were completely spent after our trip to Snowmass yesterday, but the only thing we talked about on the ride out were the trips you and Joe took that pretty much dwarfs anything I‘ve ever seen (ie Wilson Group, KC/Challenger, Crestones, Capitol, etc). I can‘t say I‘ve ever seen such a dedicated drive towards a goal of this magnitude and done in the way you did it, congratulations.

Well done!!     2011-05-02 08:23:28
Congratulations on your accomplishment. Thanks for sharing with your TRs. We‘ve enjoyed the ride! Nice that you finished with a 14er powder day. We couldn‘t see anything either while skiing the top 1000 vert on Snowmass yesterday but it sure felt good.

Kudos on quite an accomplishment that few will achieve, Jordan. It looks like you have come a long way in a short time.

A Very late ”Kudos”     2010-09-28 20:45:51
Congratulations (a year and a half late)!!

Hey, yesterday, September 25, I was descending the west face of Snowmass. I had never climbed the peak from that side (still haven't), but I had occasion to descend that route. It looks like a lot of fun for you skier types and I thought of you. Has it been skied much?? It didn't look life threatening like other Elk routes, just a nice, steep snowfield that could be skied pretty low into the basin.

Hey Steve     2010-09-28 21:53:39
Yeah it has been skied quite a bit, its just a matter of finding the top few hundred feet fully covered in snow... I think it is the way Dav skied it.
