 Early Spring Ski of Democrat

Adam, Joe, Jake the Chesapeake and I started at the winter parking at 7:20 or so. The road was stable and mostly sans postholing up to Kite Lake.
The east side was patchy snow and talus to the summit ridge. The wind kicked up on the summit ridge with the approaching storm, but still blue sky.
Began skiing SE Face at 12:30 or so. The snow was very stable, with varying depth of corn due to the exposure to the wind. The most recent snow from a few days before was 12-18 inches of stable layer that bonded well to the old layer.
There were some wet point slides from the afternoon before on SE and E aspects, mostly originating near rocks.
Very enjoyable early spring skiing and a good conditioning hike.
Sorry, no good photos on my camera, but might add some later.
