Glad you guys made it out ok! The ski doesn‘t mean as much when you get in situation like that one. Maybe take it easy for a while and ski some easier lines like the rest of us old geezers.

Congrats on the descent! It must have felt like forever while you were waiting for the rope. Hope you get better conditions if/when you go back.

Bill: I don‘t disagree about the ski not meaning as much, not one bit. I think that‘s why I want to go back (not tomorrow, but still..) I think part of it was trying to take advantage of a fairly stable period of time... (i know..ironic).

After seeming to lay down easily for a number of descents over the last few years, this line decided enough is enough. Being on top of that mountain, I remember thinking about what bad conditions could do to a party on an attempted ski. Glad everything ended up okay. Your instinct to head high in that snow seemed to have saved the day.

Your transparency speaks volumes to the honorable nature of your project Jordan, nice TR.

Glad things turned out well Jordan. I‘ve been in that situation before where the ground dropped out beneath me, only my runout was about as tame as they get. I can‘t imagine that situation on something like the Landry Line, looks like you responded well. Congrads on getting the ski though!

Another amazing attempt - although a bit (more) white-knuckle this round. Glad you guys got down ok.
Good clear thinking and action.
Excellent TR and pics.

Just reading that made me clench - can't imagine what it must have been like. Glad you did the smart thing and got the hell out of there. Those pics - especially the 19th one - are just wild.
