Casa Grande video, Big bend National Park

It's not CO, but here is a video of my trip to Big Bend National Park last week. It is a tribute to Les Stroud who aired his last survivorman a few weeks ago. Enjoy. Jarrod

Hilarious. BB is a great place to go to this time of the year. Question is, did the Survivalist camp out or stay in one of those ”hotel” rooms in the Chisos Basin?

is both an extreme survival expert and outdoorsman. He camped twice while in BB, once in the backcountry. But since Mrs. Survivalist came along, they did stay in a room before they left.

Excellent tribute to old Les - I think he'd get a kick out of this (especially the jab at Bear Grylls). Funny stuff :-)
My favorite Survivorman quote is from Les' foray into the wilds of Papua New Guinea: "I have started fires by hitting rock and steel together, by spinning a piece of wood with my hand, by using a fire-bow, gasoline, a spark, batteries, flashlight, the sun - even started fire using chocolate and a can. And I have gotten fire using the vine method, out here. Just not today. All I have left to get a fire going now, is a butane lighter. Wish me luck!"

I‘m going to give that chocolate and a can thing a shot one of these days.

That was hilarious! My little brother lapses into a similar bit on Steve Irwin while teaching middle school science. If you don‘t watch out, you‘ll be forever looped through the sixth grade! Thanks again. I think i know where I‘m taking my kids camping for spring break!
