 Looks (Pretty) Clear From here!

Add your trip report here...

If you still have 14‘er fever ...
I can see Pikes Peak pretty clearly from my house and can view the exposed Barr Trail with a 100+-power scope. The trail does have some snow (and presumably ice) on it but the grade is not bad and the weather looks good. I have no idea how the lower Barr trail is doing. If you go, bring extra caution, yak-trax or crampons, a pole, and some extra time. Check the weather, too.
Last Sunday, i flew over the area and could see that the 14‘ers in the Sangres and Wasatch were pretty snowed in, and Pikes was clear, but we have had some snow since then.
If you stay at Barr Camp, bring some goodies for the hut staff.

A report from your trip to the front porch.

Looks (Pretty) Clear From Here Part 2

rijaca: The earlier post is not intended to be a complete report, which should be obvious! This is For Information Only, and intended to help those who would like to continue some hiking and who may not know about trail conditions in mountains away from their areas. We shouldn‘t try to actively discourage people from giving information about local conditions, although you may feel otherwise.

This is the Trip Report section, where people post accounts of their trips to the mountains! I‘m not interested in your trip to the front porch.

And I‘m all for people exchanging information about mountain conditions, especially when they can give first hand, factual, relevant information.
