Mt. Evans via the Mt. Spalding route.

Mt Evan‘s via the Summit lake Mt. Spalding route. Started late which I never do, also grabbed the DSLR and started to take pictures and realized forgot all my SD cards, something else I never do, so unfortunately no pictures.

There was a threat of rain for the afternoon, 40%. There was snow on the peak a couple of weeks ago, but nothing was left on the route when I went.

The route was much quicker than I thought it would be. Took only about 3 hours. Weather was around 45-50 on top, beautiful day except overcast here and there. amazingly enough I didn‘t get rained on all day, the weather and the mountain were wonderful. I took the Northwest face back down, little rough in spots with the loose rock, but great way down instead of going back up along the route back to Spalding. Overall, really nice route, rained on me the last 50 yards from the car, luck o the Irish I guess.

Great route, I would suggest it for a short route with a top out of a 14er....
