Bagging 14ers for the first time

Our trip began with Mt Quandary. Me, my husband, my parents, and two children ages 2 and 4.

I started with the 2yr old on my back, my husband was having issues with dizziness so I ended up with our 4yr old. Mom and my youngest got altitude sickness around 13,300ft. Dad started down with them. I kept on with my daughter saying "go more mama." I wanted to summit my 1st 14er. My husband, my daughter, and I made it.

The weather was challenging the week we were there. We were able to sneak in Mt Sherman mid week.

The first 14er with my dad on the summit. He is the one who has started the addiction.

At the end of the trip my husband and I bagged Mt Massive, boy does that trail seem much longer coming down than going up.

Welcome to the obsession....     2008-08-27 20:49:09
I have several people, including my wife who wonder why I do it. All I can say is it cannot be explained, it is something you have to do and experience. Then you are obsessed. Congratulations on your summits.
