Bummed a lift off Adam. Left south metro Denver around 5:30PM. Arrived at North Gate around 9:30 PM (traffic was slow going getting out of town). Set up tent and got some good sleep after getting a great light show courtesy of Mother Nature. Paid the $100 fee to the infamous Carlos (actually a pretty nice guy) and we were off to the upper TH. Mother Nature provided a ¼" cover of hail/graupel above 13,000 feet. Slippery footing was the most difficult part of the hike. Took the obligatory summit photos and then we returned to the TH. It appeared that most of the group went on to Red Mtn which looked pretty bad weather-wise as we were heading back on Hwy 159 to Ft. Garland. Thanks again to RenoBob for organizing the hike and for the great sunglasses!!

I was hoping you‘d see our feedback to your own rear window message but with the weather thought it was going to be washed off by the time you got back. Great job on getting the 3000‘ feet vert and Red Mtn. I was concerned about the weather as it looked nasty. Did you guys miss the storm that rolled through COS?
I was in the group that hiked Culebra on the 24th. Looks like we had a little better weather no slick hail to hike on. Although it did start to rain about 11:00. That is a great personal pic with the sign and Culebra peak in the background above the sign, great angle!
